Childhood: Born in Springfield Mass., went through elementary schooling in Washington D.C., always one for action, AJ would commonly visit his Uncle, Andrew Johnson Chegwiddem (who he was named after) at Starfleet Headquarters. His Uncle would commonly take him onboard proto-type starships during their test runs. When he turned 12, his father was given command of the USS Atlantia, here AJ was exposed to Starfleet, and the way of an officer. When he turned 15, he moved back to Earth, this time to San Fransico. AJ recieved early admitance to Starfleet Academy at age 17, he graduated at the top of his class.

Career History: First posting was under the command of Admiral Sulu, AJ served as a legal advisor to the Admiral. After being Promoted to Lt. JG after serving with the admiral for 5 years, he was transfered to the USS Enterprise D as a legal officer /  security officer. Once the Enterprise crashed on Veridian 3, AJ was transfered to the Judge Advocate General under his Uncle Vice Admiral AJ Chegwidden. After 2 years of service, AJ was transfered to the Providence, under the recommandation of Admiral Starkey.

Family History: The Chegwiddens can be traced back to the American Revolution, where a Chegwidden served as a personal aid to General Washington. In the Civil War a Chegwidden served as a commander of a Union battalion. In World War 1 a Chegwidden served as Naval Liason to the Royal Navy. In World War 2 a Chegwidden served on board the USS Enterprise, and again on the USS Enterprise CNV-65. During World War 3 a Chegwidden lead a fleet of 7 ships. A Chegwidden helped colonize mars, First contact, and a Chegwidden has served on every ship to bear the name Enterprise. Vice Admiral AJ Chegwidden serves as the Judge Advocate General for the UGF.
